This is weird or maybe I am just stupid, but I cannot for the life of me figure out whether this is saying abortion is ok or whether it is saying abortion is not a good decision?
It’s saying that if abortion wasn’t available in a safe, confidential, and/or affordable way..or maybe if birth control wasn’t made available in a safe, confidential, and/or affordable ways, people would be resorting to abortion anyway, but in a much more dangerous manner. So maybe whether it’s okay or not is not relevant to what she’s saying and that Planned Parenthood should remain funded anyway because it may do more harm than good to get rid of the more accessible birth control and/or abortion options because people would be really hurting themselves and putting themselves at risk without it.
I don’t really view this as a statement for or against abortion so much as a statement supporting the well-being of women’s reproductive health. Not everything has to be pro-choice or pro-life. Sometimes some things are just about what is in the best interest of the largest amount of people , and that doesn’t have to be on either side.
